Lynn E. Lensmire was born in the beautiful, rolling hills of north-central Wisconsin. As a small child, she could be found investigating the yellow petals of a dandelion or cheering on a tiny ant as it struggled to carry something more than twice its size, back to its nest. Always close by was a dog, a faithful companion who shared every adventure and listened to every magic story Lynn had to tell.

Lynn and her husband, John, have 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom love to take quiet walks, watch the sunset, and marvel at a little ant as it struggles to carry something more than twice its size. As a teacher for many years, Lynn taught hundreds of children not only to look, but to see, to take time to appreciate what was around them, and yes, to even take that little bug on the schoolroom floor back outside so it could go about living. Now that she is retired, Lynn has decided to share the world she loved as a child, a world where frogs talk, dogs listen, and flowers wink at you when you aren’t looking. Lynn hopes you enjoy Chaucer’s Toy Box, the first in her series of books, “Tails by Chaucer.”
